At People’s Resource Center, we understand the challenges of job searching in today’s competitive market. Our Job Assistance Program is designed to empower you—whether you are unemployed, underemployed, or seeking a career change. We provide personalized support to enhance your employment skills through one-on-one mentoring, specialized workshops, and comprehensive resources.

Personalized Coaching and Workshops

  • One-on-One Coaching: Partner with a dedicated volunteer job coach who will work closely with you to refine your resume, sharpen your interview skills, and strategize your job search.
  • Interactive Workshops: Join us at local area libraries for workshops that cover crucial topics including LinkedIn networking, interview preparation, job offer negotiation, and more.

What To Expect?

  • Orientation Session: Attend a 90-minute orientation, available both in-person at our Wheaton and Westmont locations or virtually, to get acquainted with our program and to be matched with a coach.
  • Match with a Job Coach: Benefit from the undivided attention of a job coach experienced in the job market and trained specifically by PRC to provide targeted assistance.

Resources and Further Information

  • Monthly Drop-In Job Help: Visit us at our Wheaton Location (211 building) on the second Friday of each month(except April 10) from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for our Job Assistance Drop-In. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, get help from job search, and check out our resources without needing an appointment.
