Financial Assistance & Social Services

Read how PRC changes lives

When Julie lost her job with a new baby on the way, she and husband Mike faced financial crisis. PRC was there to help.

Learn more.

Emergency financial assistance is available from People's Resource Center (PRC) on a limited basis for qualified clients who are facing special hardships or unexpected needs, such as transportation, utilities, and medical expenses. Our trained social services staff and volunteers work to connect clients to assistance from PRC or other area service providers.

Información en Español sobre los servicios de PRC.

Eligibility

PRC clients who meet specific need-based criteria are evaluated on a case-by-case basis for financial assistance. Learn about Becoming a Client or Registrarse como cliente de PRC. PRC's intake workers and Social Services staff help clients identify additional services for which they may qualify during the intake process.

How to Get Started

To request emergency financial assistance, call 630-682-5402, extension 323 and leave a message with your name, phone number, and a short explanation of your situation. You will receive a call back from a staff member. You can also speak with an intake worker during a food pantry visit.

What to Expect

If funds are available and you appear to meet the program requirements, you will be offered an in-depth interview.  Be sure to bring the requested documents related to your financial situation. Please note that all financial assistance from PRC will be in the form of gift cards or through payments directly to a service provider.

If funds are not available, or if you do not qualify for PRC's program, staff members may be able to refer you to other sources of help.
