Clothing Donations

Donation Guidelines

To help us best serve our community, we accept only in-season clothing throughout the year. Please review the guidelines below before donating.

Clothing Accepted Year-Round

  • Undergarments (new only)

  • Socks (new only)

  • Accessories (jewelry, bags, belts, hats, scarves)

  • Shoes (clean and gently used)

  • Pajamas and sleepwear

Space is limited. Please adhere to the seasonal guidelines below. Please launder donations before donating. PRC does not have laundry facilities.

Summer Clothing

Accepted April 1 – September 30

Examples include:

  • T-shirts and tank tops

  • Shorts and skirts

  • Dresses

  • Lightweight pants

  • Sandals and casual shoes

Winter Clothing

Accepted October 1 – March 31

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Coats and jackets

  • Sweaters and sweatshirts

  • Long-sleeve shirts

  • Pants and jeans

  • Hats, gloves, and scarves

  • Winter boots

Clothing donations can be dropped off at our Wheaton and Westmont locations during the following hours:

Wheaton (201 S Naperville Rd) Donation Hours:

  • Monday 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Tuesday 9:00am – 8:30pm
  • Wednesday 9:00am – 8:30pm
  • Thursday 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Saturday 9:00am – 11:30am

Westmont (104 Chestnut Ave) Donation Hours:

  • Monday 8:00am – 8:30pm
  • Tuesday 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Thursday 8:00am – 8:00pm
  • Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Saturday 8:00am – 12:30pm

* Do not leave clothing donations outside of our building.

Clothing donations are limited to no more than 4 bags per drop off.

We do not accept any household items, appliances, furniture, or any non-clothing items for our clothes closet.
