*As a PRC volunteer, you will be able to sign in and out, as well as receive additional info, by using our touch screen monitor that is located just outside the Reception Desk at our main center in Wheaton. Since we have over 800 volunteers, please choose a 5- or 6-digit number, not beginning with zero, that you wish to use to sign in and out at the PRC. You will be contacted via phone if the number you choose is already in use.

Food Market --Westmont
 
We need volunteers to:
-Sort food donations
-Stock shelves
-Welcome clients to the food market and provide instructions
-Assist clients with shopping
-Load groceries into client's cars
-Corral and/or load shopping carts


-Unload and stock food from weekly shipment to PRC
-Pick up donations at area retailers. Must be able to drive own van or be able to drive PRC cargo van. Food market director will discuss.
 
 
Registration—Westmont
**Applicants must be able to attend a specialized computer training class. Applicants must be able to commit to volunteering one shift per week for a minimum 6 months.**
 
We need volunteers to:
-Check in and greet clients
-Use computer to access registration information
-Complete paperwork
-Provide limited referrals
 
 
Clothes Connection—Westmont - Opportunity unavailable to new volunteers at this time
 
We need volunteers to:
-Greet and check in clients

Adult and Family Literacy
**All tutors must attend a 2.5-hour orientation before volunteering.**
**All tutors must be able to commit to volunteering one shift per week for a one year minimum.**

Community Technology Center (CTC)
**All applicants must be able to commit to volunteering one shift per week for minimum 6 months.**

We need volunteers to:
Help as a computer service representative (CSR): Work directly with clients consulting on PRC computer classes and free computer program; work with simple Access database.

Computer Training
**Classes meet once per week for 1.5 hours, and sessions last for 7 weeks.**
 
We need volunteers to:
Teach computer skills from basic to advanced levels in a classroom setting. Usually nights and weekends.
