Thank you for your interest in group service projects at the
People's Resource Center (PRC). Since 1975, the PRC has been meeting
the community's needs, neighbor to neighbor. Last year, 16,725 people
used our services to get back into the economic mainstream. Most took
advantage of our Food Pantry , Clothes Closet and a homeless
prevention program. However, many also went a step further, taking
advantage of programs that offer opportunities to break the cycle of
poverty and enhance their lives, including computer training, job
assistance, literacy training, and ESL and GED classes.
We welcome the energy and commitment of people of all ages
who want to offer their services and resources to neighbors
experiencing financial need. Due to the variety of our programs, there
is a multitude of ways for people in schools, service organizations,
church-affiliated and community service groups to assist us and fill a
great need for others. The families we serve are thrilled by the
unexpected bucket of cleaning supplies, the special new baby items, or
the birthday goodies for their little one.
Please consider one of the following projects in light of your
group's interests, mission and availability. Or if you have an idea of a
way to help us that is not included in this list, please do it!
