With the support of our community we have completed our capital campaign, and we thank you for making it possible.

Under One Roof

Through the generosity of our community, the People's Resource Center occupies a 15,000 square foot building, centrally located in Wheaton to serve DuPage individuals and families, providing hospitality and centralized services under one roof.

A spacious, welcoming Food Pantry Market, providing total customer choice, including a nutritional balance of fresh, refrigerated, frozen, canned and packaged foods;
Literacy...the Megan Bradshaw Learning Center provides ESL instruction, GED assistance and help with citizenship;
A state-of-the-art Tellabs Computer Technology Center, where men and women develop skills for better paying jobs, job assistance; access to reconditioned computers;
An inviting Clothing Connection, where families can shop for free, usable clothing from infants to adults;
A Walk-in Resource Center, where people can apply for emergency rent/mortgage assistance, access to health care, Food Stamps, and other resources;
People's Art, where people can express themselves through various art media in a healing community.

Our Promise

Thirty-two years ago, a small group of people made a promise to this community: to provide a lifeline to their neighbors in need through donated resources and volunteer help. We will continue to treat people with dignity and respect, to build hope and opportunity, to create pathways out of poverty, and to meet our community's needs, neighbor to neighbor. With your help, we are remaining faithful to the PRC's promise.
