Development Associate
The People’s Resource Center (PRC) is looking for a Development Associate to work 40 hours/weekweek (some evenings and weekends may be needed). Primary responsibility is the accurate and timely submission of funding applications and grant reports, maintaining accurate and useful data in donor database, coordinating process to distribute direct mail appeals and implementing donor recognition processes. This position reports to the Director of Development and offers full benefits: medical, life insurance, short term disability insurance, paid time off, pension and flexible spending account participation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain donor database to ensure accurate and effective data is maintained
- Participate in the process of preparing and distributing direct appeals by creating and coordinating the production process and timeline, conducting query analysis, managing the distribution process and conducting final analysis
- Prepare and distribute timely and accurate funding applications and grant reports
- Participate in the donor recognition and support processes by implementing process of acknowledgements and participating in donor recognition events
Experience and Education required include:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
- 5 years of similar work experience
Skills and Knowledge required include:

- Passionate about working for a not-for-profit social service organization
- Have an acute attention to detail; strives for 100% accuracy
- Must be a task oriented person that is highly organized
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a deadline driven work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to exercise professional judgment to resolve moderately complex problems.
- Computer literate: Proficient in Word, Excel and Internet. Able to learn database software and query creation and analysis
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle. Traveling is required.

Receptionist - Evening - PT
The People’s Resource Center
is looking for an Evening Receptionist to work
Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
This position reports to the Office Manager and offers pension and flexible spending account plan participation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide phone reception coverage during scheduled hours
- Greet, receive and direct people based upon established guidelines
- Participate in in-take process as requested
- Perform all building and security procedures that apply to reception
- Manage use of shared keys for the building according to procedures
- Provide administrative support as requested
- Act as reception back up for other shifts
Requirements include:
- Commitment to PRC’s mission, values, and grassroots structure
- Strong telephone etiquette
- Bi-Lingual preferred: English & Spanish
- Enjoys working in a not-for-profit atmosphere
- Flexible and reliable team player
- Able to respond to critical issues
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks at one-time
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Able to work effectively with people from other countries and people speaking other languages

Receptionist - On-Call
The People’s Resource Center
is looking for On-Call Receptionists
to fill-in when permanent receptionists are absent due to vacation, illnesses, etc. There are no regular hours.
Reception is currently staffed
Monday to Thursday:
Friday:
Saturday:

8:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This position reports to the Office Manager.
Responsible for:
- Providing phone reception coverage during scheduled hours.

- Perform all building and security procedures that apply to reception.
- Retrieve faxes and communicate to recipient; send faxes as requested.
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, waiting area and kitchen.
- Manage use of shared keys for the building according to procedures.
Requirements include:

- Strong telephone etiquette
- Good use of the English language; Spanish speaking a plus
- Enjoys working in a not-for-profit atmosphere
- Flexible and reliable team player
